Speech and language therapy for your child

Every child communicates in their own way. We help you find the best way to support yours. It starts with a free SALT consultation. Tell us what you have noticed, ask your questions, and find out the right next step for your child.

We only use HCPC registered speech and language therapists

In clinic, or online if it suits your child.

Signs parents often notice

You do not need to be sure. If something feels off, a free consultation is a good place to start.

1

Hard to understand

People outside the family struggle to follow what your child is saying.

2

Frustration

They get upset and give up halfway through a sentence.

3

Very quiet

They say much less than other children their age.

4

Not following

They talk plenty, but do not always seem to understand what is said to them.

5

Conversation is hard work

Taking turns, starting a chat or making friends feels difficult.

6

Losing confidence

Talking has become stressful and they hold back.

What could change

The difference the right support can make

Every child is different, and progress looks different for every family. For some children that means words. For others it means signs, pictures or other ways to communicate. These are the things our therapists work towards with you.

1

Feeling more understood

Finding ways for your child to get their message across, whatever that looks like for them.

2

Joining in more

Building your child's confidence to connect with the people around them.

3

Making sense of the day

Helping your child understand more of what is said to them, at home and at school.

4

Feeling confident as a parent

You know what is going on, what helps, and how to support your child every day.

Support that fits your family

Sessions can take place in clinic, or online from home if that is right for your child. Your therapist will talk this through with you, so your child gets support in the way that works best for them.
